about me

about me

I move with intention in life and in Pilates; I invite you to join me

After a debilitating back injury at the age of 25, Pilates became my long-term physical therapy of sorts. Combined with running, it radically changed my relationship to my body. Pilates has been a catalyst in my life for learning to appreciate what my body can do and to appreciate the fact that my body exists, rather than to appreciate it only for how it looks and takes up space.

I became a Pilates teacher for my own health and well-being, but also so that I might facilitate for my clients the type of growth, awareness, and embodiment that I now enjoy as a result of a regular Pilates practice.

my training & qualifications

I completed my Comprehensive Training through Polestar Pilates. Drawn to the program for its rigor, its close relationship with physical therapy, and its proven ability to rehabilitate people after injury and illness, I help clients gain strength, awareness, mobility, flexibility, and even courage, all while staying closely connected and informed with the latest scientific understanding of biomechanics, neuro-linguistic cueing, and the use of imagery for creating effective movement.
